KT Cafe & Kitchen
Eric starts up a new section for HikanNinja giving you places to eat around Nagoya. I would do the same but you probably don't need a review of the McDonalds near my house. Well, you could probably just visit the McDonalds near your house and pretend I told you all about it.
HikanNinja Second Anniversary 80's Dance Party
A short video of the party roughly cut together. I was outside so I only filmed myself, which turned out to be less exciting than I thought it would be. Nate took the camera inside for the robot dance contest and interviewed the contestants.
Gackt vs Anime Villains
I made a joke here about Gackt looking like a cartoon bad guy and Eric queried which was the chicken and which was the egg. I have no idea, but here's some anime villains and some Gackt for you to compare with.
Naked Man Festival 2008
The naked man festival occurs every year right near my house. I didn’t know that they have sort of a mini parade on their way to the temple right outside the back of my apartment, so I got lots of photos of the men passing by.
Ragnarok Anime Review
This is an animation. I had to watch it. I watched the whole thing. The question you need answered for you is should you go through the effort of opening your eyes for a long enough period of time to take in the images and to clean your ears enough to hear the sounds the will come out of the speakers of your television. I answer that question pretty thoroughly if you haven't already figured out my opinion.
Spring Osu Fashion Research
Eric hits Osu like a spring wind to pick up a few mid week fashion photo shots for those of you who have been missing it. I keep trying to take pictures of people but then they chase me away from the girls locker room.

Inuyama Monkey Park
My parents came over Golden week so I needed to find non-offensive family like things for them to do. I had heard of the monkey park but had never been there so it seemed like a safe bet. Everyone loves monkeys and I learned about self-pleasuring from a monkey on a trip to the zoo when I was a kid.
Whiskey in a can Taste test
HikanNinja threw a Whiskey party, we took some video but most of the footage was crap. This video isn't much better, but it's something you probably haven't seen before. Whisky in a can. If you have seen before and perhaps drunk it before, you should go seek help.
Movie Madness: zombie Jieitai
I love zombie movies, so when I heard the title that translates to Zombie Self Defense Force or Zombie army, I knew it would be worth seeing. It left me with a mixture of emotions much like a rash that is going away whose source I am unsure of.
Pepsi Blue Hawaii
Last year was Pepsi Ice Cucumber, the new flavor doesn't sound as crazy as the last one, but who knows what a pineapple and lemon cola will actually taste like. Also, I know you're going to buy your own, so get some liquor and mix up some the drinks we suggest here.

Movie Madness: Machine Girl
Another epic epic film from Japan that will stroke all the wild fantasies that people who have learned about Japan through animation have about the country. This movie has upskirts, and as many buckets of blood as any movie I have ever seen.
WCS '08: Hikan Ninja Interrogates Team USA
World Cosplay Summit 2008 is right around the corner. Two-person teams from over a dozen countries descend upon Nagoya to compete in a televised event. Last year we scored press passes and walked around like we were big shit, and people actually bought it.
This year we're even more excited, because for the first time in three years representatives from an English speaking country will be participating. Sonnya Paz and Renee Gloger were selected at the New York Anime Festival to represent the United States of America at WCS 2008. Through the magic of internet stalking, Hikan Ninja was able to track them down for an interview.
World Cosplay Summit
It's the beginning of the summer vacation here so right after the cosplay summit we all finished up work and Eric took off for America, Nate went to do some farming in Hokkaido and I stayed home. With a nearly one year old staying at home is just as busy as going somewhere and the pictures and videos have been languishing on my hard drive.
Eric hit me up over chat with a not too subtle reminder to get some shit done. Here are what he considers his best pictures of the night and I have posted the video interview with the American Team. No editing so it's pretty rough and the girls were obviously still pretty hyped up.

Kirin Beer Park Tour
Summer vacation means a lot of travel for most people in Japan. Having a small child it's difficult to take him on long journeys so we managed to hit up everything within a one day drive. Near the end of the vacation we got to some pretty slim pickings, so I did what any responsible parent would do, I took my son to the local brewery.
Movie Madness:Yo Yo Girl Cop
How do you make a good movie? Well, you get two former (and pretty much washed up) members of morning musume and make them the heroine and villain in a movie about girls who dress up as schoolgirls and then fight with yo-yo's.

Fashion Research, end of summer edition
Since I have caught my yearly cold and it has knocked me flat Eric hunted down things that would make for a quick update. He had these fashion research pics on his camera and sent them in knowing I could fondly remember the two underage girls who seemed illegally interested in us after talking to them.

Maverick the club in downtown Nagoya recently renovated. They knew that to really get asses on the dancefloor they had to have HN coverage so we were invited out. I totally refused to leave my hovel deep underground but then Eric told me there would be girls there with hardly any clothes on.

Naked Man attacks Imperial Palace
This was a big story a few weeks ago, I have honestly been waiting for a follow-up on this internet hero. the guy is a superstar and we still don't even know his name. He is only Naked British Man.Champion of the weak, defender of the Spanish and terror to Japan.
I have questions, questions no one else seems interested in answering.
Movie Moadness - TGRFCS
No one is going to believe me when I say I didn't know this was basically a soft core porn movie when I got it. I read about it as a zombie movie and planned on reviewing it alongside OneechanBara.

Green Whisky Pepsi review
Okay, there is no thing like stated above. Thankfully.
We did all get together for the tri-annual (once every 3 year) HikanNinja office meeting and drank Green Tea Beer, Nikka Whisky and the most recent Pepsi White drinks.
Needless to say, our meetings are not productive.
Interview:DJ Madd Love
Last month HikanNinja hit up Club Maverick for one of their reopening events and had a nice time. We were invited by a guy who works both behind the scenes and behind the turntables for the club. Recently, Nate sat down with Trevor David to talk about his involvement with Club Maverick and found out that besides just promoting events and spinning at the club, Trevor, aka Madd Love, is a busy man.
Movie Madness: Resident Evil: Degeneration
Released as a full feature length in Japan at least a few video game nerds must have shelled out the $20 it costs to go see a movie here to see this adaptation on the big screen. You'd have to be a pretty dedicated fan to do that and not take anything home with you, but there are a lot of dedicated fans of crap out there.
